Broken Bow Lake · Boat Rentals

Broken Bow boat rentals, from the people who send guests every week.

Broken Bow Lake is the reason most guests visit Hochatown. Clear water, pine-lined coves, and enough shoreline that a pontoon day never feels crowded. Our preferred rental partner is Broken Bow Water Adventures — they run the pontoons, tritoons, and jet skis we recommend to guests, launching from the Beavers Bend Marina ramp about 10 minutes from either of our cabins.

What to rent, and when.

01

Pontoon Boats

The default Broken Bow Lake rental — slow cruise, swim stops in the coves, cooler on board. Best for families, first-timers, and groups that want to relax more than they want to drive.

Local tip · Half-day (4 hr) is enough for a swim + lunch loop. Full day if you're chasing a sunset.

02

Tritoons (High-Performance Pontoons)

A third pontoon under the deck means more speed, more stability, and enough power to pull a tube. The upgrade pick when you want to actually move on the water.

Local tip · Ask for a tritoon if your group is 8+ or if anyone wants to tube.

03

Jet Skis / Waverunners

Fastest way to see the far end of the lake. Rent two and trade drivers — great for guys' trips, girls' trips, and anyone who wants to blow off steam for an hour.

Local tip · Book the earliest slot on summer weekends. Lake glass at 8am is unbeatable.

04

Kayaks & Paddleboards

Quiet-water rentals for the Mountain Fork River and the calm coves off Beavers Bend. Cheapest way on the water, zero learning curve.

Local tip · Head upriver from Beavers Bend State Park for the clearest water and shade.

How to plan a Broken Bow Lake day.

  1. 01Book the boat first. Summer and October weekends sell out before cabins do. Lock a slot at brokenbowwateradventures.com and build the cabin dates around it.
  2. 02Pick your launch window. Morning launches get glass water and cooler air; afternoon launches get sun and a swim. Half-day rentals cover either one.
  3. 03Pack the cooler at the cabin — ice, water, sandwiches, sunscreen, a Bluetooth speaker. Both of ours have full kitchens.
  4. 04Drive 10 minutes to the Beavers Bend Marina area, check in, and you're on the water inside 30 minutes.

Stay 10 minutes from the ramp.

Both Broken Bow Escapes cabins sit inside the Hochatown corridor, a short drive to Beavers Bend Marina. Pair a lake day with a hot tub night and you've built the trip most guests come back for.

What people actually ask

  • Where can I rent a boat in Broken Bow, Oklahoma?

Our preferred boat-rental partner is Broken Bow Water Adventures (brokenbowwateradventures.com). They rent pontoons, tritoons, and jet skis on Broken Bow Lake and launch from the Beavers Bend Marina area — about 10 minutes from both of our cabins.

  • How much does a pontoon rental cost on Broken Bow Lake?

Pricing changes by season and boat size, so we don't post numbers we can't stand behind. Check current rates and availability directly at brokenbowwateradventures.com — weekends in June, July, and October sell out first.

  • Do I need a boating license to rent on Broken Bow Lake?

Oklahoma does not require a general boating license for adults, but there are age rules for younger operators. The rental company will walk you through the safety briefing and paperwork at check-in.

  • When should I book a boat rental in Broken Bow?

For summer weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day) and peak fall-foliage weekends in October, book 2–4 weeks out. Weekdays and shoulder season, a few days ahead is usually enough. Book cabin and boat together so your dates line up.

  • Where is the closest boat launch to the Hochatown cabins?

The Beavers Bend Marina ramp on Broken Bow Lake is the closest launch and the easiest pickup point for a rental. It's roughly a 10-minute drive from Sound of Sunshine and As Good As It Gets.

  • Can we bring a cooler and dogs on the boat?

Coolers yes — plan on ice, water, and a real lunch. Dog policy is up to the rental company, so ask when you book. Both of our cabins are pet-friendly, so most guests leave the dog at the cabin with A/C during a lake day.
