Creekside deck at As Good As It Gets, minutes from Beavers Bend State Park

Broken Bow cabins · Near Beavers Bend State Park

Ten minutes from the trailhead. Worlds away from the crowd.

Beavers Bend State Park is the reason most people come to Broken Bow — 3,400 acres of pine forest, the Mountain Fork River running cold and clear under the cypress trees, and the south end of Broken Bow Lake just past the dam. Both Broken Bow Escapes cabins sit on paved roads about eight to twelve minutes from the main park entrance, close enough to be hiking by 8 a.m. and back on the hot-tub deck by 10.

Hike, fish, paddle — then be back in 15 minutes.

The David Boren Trail loops about 2.5 miles through old-growth pine and runs along the river — easy enough for kids, scenic enough for serious hikers. The Mountain Fork is one of the only year-round trout streams in Oklahoma, stocked weekly by ODWC, and licensed guides launch right at the Lower Mountain Fork. From either cabin you're back in the kitchen for lunch before the cooler even gets warm.

Paved roads, all the way to the door.

Plenty of cabins in the area advertise 'near Beavers Bend' and then dump you onto a quarter-mile washboard gravel road that beats up rental cars and stresses out anyone hauling a trailer. Both our cabins are paved from US-259 to the parking pad. We test the route every trip — if a tree falls or the county delays a repair, we tell you before arrival, not after.

Lake access without the resort crowd.

Stevens Gap (about 10 minutes north) is the closest free swim spot on Broken Bow Lake. Beavers Bend Marina, where you'll rent a pontoon for the day, is 15 minutes from either cabin. We keep a printed map at each cabin with launch ramps, fishing spots, and the quiet coves most guidebooks miss.

Eat, drink, and refuel in Hochatown.

Hochatown grew up around the park — Grateful Head Pizza, Hochatown Distilling, the Mountain Fork Brewery, and Abendigo's are all on US-259 within five to ten minutes of the cabins. We text a current restaurant guide on the morning of arrival so you don't waste a Saturday night on the one place with a two-hour wait.

Is the drive paved the whole way?
Yes. Both cabins are on paved roads from US-259 all the way to the driveway, so you don't need a truck or 4WD to reach them — a low-clearance sedan is fine, even in rain.

Is Hochatown the same as Beavers Bend?
Hochatown is the unincorporated town that grew up around the park entrance — restaurants, breweries, and the Hochatown Distilling Company all sit on US-259 within 5–10 minutes of the cabins. Beavers Bend State Park is the protected land just to the east.
