One-night stays skew heavily toward parties, and Hochatown neighbors have made it clear they don't want that in their backyard. Two-night minimums filter for families, couples, and small groups who actually want to enjoy the forest — and lets our team turn the cabin over properly between guests.

Last-minute doesn't mean second-rate.

Every arrival gets the same treatment: hot tub tested that morning, linens fresh, firewood stocked, coffee in the pantry. Our local team lives 10 minutes away and turns cabins the day of arrival, not the day before. A Tuesday-night same-week booking gets the exact same cabin as a 90-day-out Saturday booking.

Do you allow one-night stays?
No. Both cabins require a 2-night minimum year-round. One-night stays create too much noise and turnover for the neighborhood, so we do not offer them at any price.

Yes. Our local team turns over every cabin the day of arrival — hot tub tested, floors mopped, linens fresh — regardless of whether the booking came in 60 days out or 6 hours out.
Which cabin is more likely to have last-minute openings?
Both fill weeks in advance for weekends October–November and July 4. Mid-week openings (Sun–Thu) are common at both. Sound of Sunshine (sleeps 18) tends to have more weekend gaps in shoulder season; As Good As It Gets (sleeps 20, private pool) fills fastest in summer.
