Sound of Sunshine — pet-friendly Broken Bow cabin with fenced yard

Broken Bow cabins · Dogs welcome

Pet-friendly Broken Bow cabins with a flat pet fee — no asterisks.

Most 'pet friendly' listings mean a $200+ fee, a two-page rules PDF, and a nervous host. Sound of Sunshine is genuinely built for dogs: hard floors through the main living area, back-deck-to-yard access, and one flat $75 per-stay pet cleaning fee for up to two dogs — disclosed at checkout, never after. A third dog is usually a yes with a quick message. As Good As It Gets is strictly pet-free.

Which cabin is the dog-friendly one.

Sound of Sunshine is the pet-friendly option — 6 bedrooms, sleeps 18, hard floors, easy yard access, and closer to the dog-friendly Beavers Bend trails. As Good As It Gets is strictly pet-free — no dogs of any size or breed. If you're bringing dogs, book Sound of Sunshine.

The pet fee rules, in plain English.

$75 flat per stay, not per night. Covers up to two dogs. A third dog is free with prior approval. No weight cap, no breed restrictions. No hidden damage deposit — actual damage (rare) is billed separately at cost. The fee is a line item at checkout, so what you see is what you pay.

House rules that keep the fee flat.

Dogs off the beds and upholstered furniture (bring a blanket from home). Crate or supervise when you're out — barking travels. Wipe muddy paws on the deck before coming in. Pick up in the yard daily. Follow these and the flat fee stays flat.

Designed so dogs aren't an awkward guest.

Hard floors mean wet paws after a creek walk aren't a crisis. The back deck steps straight into the yard for the 6 AM out-cycle. The fenced fire-pit area is a safe off-leash zone. There's a hose bib by the deck for the mandatory post-river rinse.

Five dog-friendly minutes from the door.

Beavers Bend State Park (leash-on) has miles of shaded trails. Mountain Fork River sandbars (10 minutes) are the classic tire-out spot — bring a long line. Hochatown patios at Mountain Fork Brewery, Grateful Head, and Abendigo's welcome dogs on outdoor seating.

Questions, answered

Plan with confidence.

Are your Broken Bow cabins pet-friendly?
Yes. Sound of Sunshine is our dog-friendly cabin — hard floors through the main living area, easy back-deck access to the yard, and a short drive to Beavers Bend State Park trails. As Good As It Gets is not pet-friendly because of the heated pool and pool-room finishes.
How much is the pet fee?
A flat $75 per-stay pet cleaning fee — not per night, not per dog. It's shown as a separate line item at checkout, never added after the booking. There is no additional damage deposit tied to the pet fee.
How many dogs can I bring?
Two dogs per stay is the standard allowance under the flat fee. A third dog is usually approved with a quick message before booking, at no additional charge, provided all dogs are house-trained and over 12 months old.
Are there breed or size restrictions?
No breed restrictions and no weight cap. We ask that dogs be house-trained, non-destructive when left alone, and up to date on flea and tick prevention (ticks are real in Beavers Bend). Puppies under 6 months should be crated when unsupervised.
Can dogs be left alone in the cabin?
Yes, if they're crated or if you know they're calm alone. Please don't leave dogs loose and barking — the cabins are close enough that neighbors will hear. Crates aren't provided, so bring your own.
Are dogs allowed on the furniture or beds?
We ask that dogs stay off the beds and upholstered furniture. Bring a bed or blanket from home — the smell of home helps them settle, and it keeps your cleaning fee flat instead of triggering a deep-clean charge.
Where can I take my dog nearby?
Beavers Bend State Park (leashed) has miles of dog-friendly trails. Mountain Fork River sandbars are the classic tire-out spot. Hochatown patios — Mountain Fork Brewery, Grateful Head Pizza, Abendigo's Grill — welcome dogs on outdoor seating.
What should I bring for my dog?
Bed or crate, food and bowls, leash, waste bags, tick preventative, and a towel for muddy paws. We don't stock pet supplies. Tags with a current cell number are strongly recommended in case of an off-leash mishap.
What happens if my dog damages something?
Minor wear (a chewed toy, a stain that comes out) is covered by the flat pet fee. Actual damage — chewed trim, torn upholstery, carpet stains that require replacement — is billed separately at cost. In four years we've charged this twice.
