- Are your Broken Bow cabins pet-friendly?
- Yes. Sound of Sunshine is our dog-friendly cabin — hard floors through the main living area, easy back-deck access to the yard, and a short drive to Beavers Bend State Park trails. As Good As It Gets is not pet-friendly because of the heated pool and pool-room finishes.
- How much is the pet fee?
- A flat $75 per-stay pet cleaning fee — not per night, not per dog. It's shown as a separate line item at checkout, never added after the booking. There is no additional damage deposit tied to the pet fee.
- How many dogs can I bring?
- Two dogs per stay is the standard allowance under the flat fee. A third dog is usually approved with a quick message before booking, at no additional charge, provided all dogs are house-trained and over 12 months old.
- Are there breed or size restrictions?
- No breed restrictions and no weight cap. We ask that dogs be house-trained, non-destructive when left alone, and up to date on flea and tick prevention (ticks are real in Beavers Bend). Puppies under 6 months should be crated when unsupervised.
- Can dogs be left alone in the cabin?
- Yes, if they're crated or if you know they're calm alone. Please don't leave dogs loose and barking — the cabins are close enough that neighbors will hear. Crates aren't provided, so bring your own.
- Are dogs allowed on the furniture or beds?
- We ask that dogs stay off the beds and upholstered furniture. Bring a bed or blanket from home — the smell of home helps them settle, and it keeps your cleaning fee flat instead of triggering a deep-clean charge.
- Where can I take my dog nearby?
- Beavers Bend State Park (leashed) has miles of dog-friendly trails. Mountain Fork River sandbars are the classic tire-out spot. Hochatown patios — Mountain Fork Brewery, Grateful Head Pizza, Abendigo's Grill — welcome dogs on outdoor seating.
- What should I bring for my dog?
- Bed or crate, food and bowls, leash, waste bags, tick preventative, and a towel for muddy paws. We don't stock pet supplies. Tags with a current cell number are strongly recommended in case of an off-leash mishap.
- What happens if my dog damages something?
- Minor wear (a chewed toy, a stain that comes out) is covered by the flat pet fee. Actual damage — chewed trim, torn upholstery, carpet stains that require replacement — is billed separately at cost. In four years we've charged this twice.
