Dogwood Days at Beavers Bend. Trout fishing is at peak. Hochatown restaurants, the distillery tasting room, and the Beavers Bend trailheads all run on their normal schedule this month, so a April weekend can be as full or as slow as you want it.
Friday: arrive after work, drop groceries, and spend the first night in the hot tub. Saturday: an early Beavers Bend hike or a lake morning, lunch in Hochatown, an afternoon at the distillery or the game room, then a fire pit after dinner.
