Broken Bow elopement guide: how to elope at a cabin

Broken Bow elopement guide: how to elope at a cabin

The permits, venues, officiants, and logistics for an elopement in Hochatown.

Elopements have exploded in Broken Bow. Here's the plan.

MARRIAGE LICENSE. Oklahoma requires a state marriage license. Apply at any OK county courthouse (McCurtain County in Idabel). $50, no waiting period, valid immediately.

OFFICIANT. Ordained ministers, judges, or online-ordained officiants (Universal Life Church, etc.) all valid in OK.

VENUES. - Cabin deck: private, easy, our favorite. - Cedar Bluff overlook: sunset ceremony (need permit for large group). - Beavers Bend State Park: photo permit required, no ceremony permits. - Broken Bow Lake dock: sunset over water.

Skip the fees. Book direct.

Check live availability for both cabins and save up to 18% vs Airbnb. Use code PINES10 for 10% off your first direct stay.

PHOTOGRAPHERS. Local: Rebecca Herring, Amanda Hedgepeth, Broken Bow Weddings. $1,500-3,000 for 4-6 hrs.

FLOWERS. Broken Bow Florist or Idabel-based florists. Order 2+ weeks out.

CAKE / DINNER. Rolling Fork Takery for a small cabin dinner. Abendigo's if the party is 4-8.

CABIN. Sound of Sunshine works for couples-only. As Good As It Gets works for small groups (family + witnesses).

BUDGET. ~$3,500 all-in for 2 people + 8 guests: cabin, officiant, photographer, florals, dinner.
