Here's how to actually plan it.

The right cabin for a bachelor party in Broken Bow

Saturday afternoon — pool + poker. This is what you booked the cabin for. Pool at As Good As It Gets, arcade at Sound of Sunshine.

Saturday night — big dinner in the cabin. Grill ribeyes on the outdoor kitchen (much cheaper than another restaurant), open the good bourbon, keep the party at the cabin. Zero drive risk, zero wait times.

Sunday morning — pack out. Check-out is 11am. Grateful Head or Blue Rooster on the way out of town.

Getting around: the designated-driver problem

There is no Uber or Lyft in Hochatown. This is the single thing every bachelor party underestimates. Options:

1. Assign a rotating DD. Different groomsman each night. Cheapest and easiest. 2. Text-a-Ride Hochatown — a local shuttle service that runs Fri/Sat nights. Book 24 hours ahead; roughly $15–$25/person one-way. 3. Bring one big SUV / Suburban as the group vehicle so 8+ can move together with a sober driver. 4. Stay in the cabin after dark. Restaurants in Hochatown are good but small. A party of 12 will wait 90 minutes for a table on a Friday or Saturday. Booze, weed, and what's legal

- Liquor: Buy in Broken Bow proper (Walmart or the liquor store on Highway 259). Selection thins out in Hochatown. Oklahoma is a 21+ state; ID gets checked. - Beer: Same — stock the cabin fridges before you get to Hochatown. - Weed: Recreational marijuana is not legal in Oklahoma. Medical is (with a valid OK medical card). Do not bring it across the Texas state line. - Fireworks: Legal to buy in Oklahoma, illegal to set off inside city limits and on state park land. Don't set them off at the cabin — fire risk in the pines is real, and neighbors will call.

What NOT to do

- Don't book an unvetted cabin off Airbnb for a 15-person bachelor party. Half the Broken Bow listings that say 'sleeps 16' are stretching couches and lofts. You will end up with 4 groomsmen on air mattresses. Both Broken Bow Escapes cabins are real king-bed counts. - Don't plan a strip-club night. There isn't one within an hour.
